Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical neural network architectures
- Conduct fault-tolerant quantum computing experiments using 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum accelerators into production models
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects with hardware engineering and software development teams
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum-AI initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum/AI journals/conferences
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ) or cloud quantum services
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex R&D projects with measurable outcomes
- Security clearance eligibility (DOD/NSF preferred)
