Responsibilities
- Design and develop quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, finance, and drug discovery
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware team to optimize algorithms for specific quantum processor architectures
- Create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning pipelines for real-world applications
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security
- Document algorithms and publish research in leading quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to open-source quantum libraries
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing libraries
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into executable code
