Responsibilities
- Design quantum circuit architectures for 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science journals
- Define roadmaps for quantum supremacy milestones
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (10+ years industry experience)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of securing $1M+ in research funding
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms (IBM, Rigetti, or Google)
- Strong knowledge of quantum information theory and quantum mechanics
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts to stakeholders
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields preferred
