Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with material scientists to optimize qubit coherence times
- Create quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows for enterprise applications
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization and simulation problems
- Secure partnerships with national labs and academic institutions
- Present breakthroughs at quantum computing conferences and industry forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- 5+ years in quantum hardware/software architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance methodologies
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience securing $1M+ in quantum research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and mitigation techniques
