Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Collaborate with physics teams to advance quantum hardware capabilities
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Drive quantum cloud platform integration with classical infrastructure
- Mentor quantum research engineers and publish breakthrough findings
- Align quantum initiatives with national security and commercialization goals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm design or quantum hardware architecture
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in complex system integration and high-performance computing
- Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Active Q-clearance or ability to obtain government clearance
