Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with error correction capabilities
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and ML specialists
- Validate quantum systems using advanced simulation frameworks
- Secure $20M+ in government grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
- Pioneer quantum-safe cryptographic protocols for critical infrastructure
- Author patents for quantum memory and qubit stabilization techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or custom quantum SDK development
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects (or ability to obtain)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts to functional prototypes
