Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of quantum physicists, software engineers, and domain experts
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from government agencies and private investors
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions by 2026
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at major quantum computing conferences
- Establish quantum security protocols for next-gen cryptographic systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years of research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, error correction, and hardware-software co-design
- Experience leading R&D teams with $1M+ budgets
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and computational theory
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
