Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 technological milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for industrial applications
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from government and private sector partners
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global quantum summits
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry-academic partnerships
- Develop patent portfolios for proprietary quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent tier
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing government grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE) or corporate R&D funding
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Demonstrated leadership in managing quantum research teams of 10+ members
- Knowledge of quantum hardware limitations (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
