Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmap targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Secure and manage $5M+ in federal and private quantum research grants
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Partner with semiconductor teams to design cryogenic quantum processors
- Establish quantum security protocols for next-gen communication systems
- Mentor PhD candidates through QuantumLeap's academic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing DOE/NIST grants or equivalent industry funding
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and HPC environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams
- Knowledge of NISQ-era limitations and 2026 quantum roadmap challenges
