Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for next-gen cryptography and optimization
- Design and execute complex quantum computing experiments on 100+ qubit systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor a team of 5-7 PhD researchers in quantum physics and computer science
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants annually
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies with commercial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to advance quantum error correction protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published author in quantum algorithm development or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of securing research grants ($2M+ preferred)
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and simulation
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields highly desirable
