Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for real-world applications in finance, medicine, and AI
- Design and implement error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private investors
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature and Science journals
- Develop quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptography
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor, Grover, VQE) and error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Track record of securing government/private research funding
- Experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams of 10+ members
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware limitations and optimization
