Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers in quantum hardware integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Develop error mitigation strategies to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC systems
- Experience with superconducting qubits, ion traps, or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
