Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research and development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Architect scalable quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 commercial deployment
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams of quantum physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Establish industry partnerships with Fortune 500 companies for quantum solution co-development
- Drive publication of breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop quantum security protocols resistant to 2026-era cyber threats
- Secure $10M+ in research grants and government funding initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years research experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and hardware interfaces
- Proven track record leading quantum computing projects with $5M+ budgets
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy challenges and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Strong patents portfolio (minimum 5 granted quantum-related patents)
- Clearance for government quantum research collaboration programs
