Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum hardware development including superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols and quantum error mitigation techniques for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with software engineers to create quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, Shor's)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and high-performance computing
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information science
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems and quantum measurement techniques
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through grant proposals
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
