Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum circuit fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Lead open-source quantum software projects in Python and Q#
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science
- Secure grants from NSF and DARPA for quantum research initiatives
- Participate in quantum security standardization committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one
