Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of 2026's technological revolution. We're pioneering quantum computing solutions that will redefine industries—from pharmaceuticals to finance. As a Research Scientist, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry disruptors to develop scalable quantum algorithms. Our state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco offers unparalleled resources, including a 128-qubit quantum processor and dedicated AI-assisted research labs.
We value intellectual curiosity as much as technical prowess. You'll lead breakthrough projects in quantum error correction and hybrid quantum-classical systems, with opportunities to publish in Nature and present at IEEE Quantum Week. Our culture embraces calculated risks and celebrates paradigm-shifting ideas.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to create quantum machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed research and secure patents
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and entanglement principles
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical solutions
