Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum processors operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations below 99.9% fidelity
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational physics
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and dilution refrigerator operation
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of securing government research funding
