Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy benchmarks using 50+ qubit systems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate theoretical advances into practical applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting or photonic quantum processors
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and error correction protocols
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants from NSF or DARPA
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
