Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure federal and private research grants ($1M+ annually)
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum machine learning techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks and high-performance computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF/DOE/DARPA)
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and cloud quantum platforms (IBM, AWS Braket)
