Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence times
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in quantum research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
