Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability and coherence times
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and lead cross-functional quantum-ethics task forces
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in top quantum computing journals (impact factor >15)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and microwave control systems
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum state tomography
- Ability to secure federal research grants (NSF SBIR/STTR preferred)
