Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures and error correction methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop next-generation qubit technologies
- Publish findings in leading quantum computing journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation with AI/ML teams
- Secure government grants and private funding for experimental quantum projects
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with existing cloud infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Grover's, Shor's, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical simulation tools
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical engineering solutions
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
