Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction techniques to enhance quantum gate fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC clusters, GPU acceleration)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical applications
