Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor architectures
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and leading conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for advanced quantum research
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum theory into commercial prototypes
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Proven track record of securing research funding ($1M+ preferred)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with complex mathematical systems
