Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Develop quantum software frameworks and SDKs for enterprise adoption
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep expertise in quantum algorithms and complexity theory
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing venues
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical business applications
