Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on superconducting qubit systems and error correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026 applications
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $5M+ in government/private grants
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Drive ethical frameworks for quantum technology deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or equivalent)
- Publication record in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
