Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NP-hard optimization problems with 2026+ scalability targets
- Develop novel quantum error correction codes achieving fault-tolerant thresholds for industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to integrate quantum processors with classical HPC infrastructure
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals and secure DoE/NSF grants
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for pharmaceutical discovery and climate modeling
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent quantum IP with 50+ projected annual filings
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or related field with 5+ years industry R&D
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor, Grover, VQE) and circuit optimization
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and HPC simulation tools
- Demonstrated experience securing $500K+ in quantum research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into strategic business roadmaps
