Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance and materials science
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum computing
- Mentor junior researchers and graduate students in quantum methodologies
- Secure federal and industry research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
