Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for 2026-era hardware
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design quantum-compatible software stacks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF/NIH proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Published research in quantum complexity theory or fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with parallel computing experience
- Experience with AWS Braket or IBM Quantum services
- Strong track record of securing competitive research funding
