Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to improve quantum decoherence mitigation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on multi-qubit processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize software-hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through government grants and private partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
