Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure research funding through federal grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum error correction techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published record in quantum computing research with peer-reviewed papers
- Proficiency with low-level quantum hardware control systems and cryogenic engineering
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA) preferred
