Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve quantum supremacy in practical systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 1000+ qubits
- Lead research initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-doctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
