Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation on quantum hardware platforms
- Collaborate with materials scientists to optimize qubit stability
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and secure NSF/DoE grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
