Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical concepts with practical quantum systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Proficiency with high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theories into practical solutions
