Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments on quantum hardware platforms including superconducting and trapped-ion systems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for practical quantum computing applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure government and private research funding through grant proposals
- Participate in standards committees for quantum computing interoperability
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud quantum services)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Strong track record of collaborative innovation in emerging tech fields
