Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Develop quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics and pattern recognition
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum computing innovations
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm optimization
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and cloud quantum platforms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical solutions
