Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech trends, patent landscapes, and academic research to identify breakthrough opportunities for 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum applications, neuro-interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional sprints with engineers, designers, and product teams to prototype future concepts
- Present foresight insights to C-suite executives and board stakeholders with data-driven narratives
- Build and manage an external ecosystem of futurists, VCs, and academic institutions
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote at global innovation summits
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of speculative design thinking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech R&D
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic concepts (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, biotech convergence, climate innovation
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Experience with horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and investors
- Published thought leadership in recognized innovation journals
