Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and material science applications.
- Optimize quantum circuit depth and qubit connectivity to minimize error rates on NISQ devices.
- Develop quantum software toolkits and abstractions to lower the barrier for classical programmers entering the quantum space.
- Conduct rigorous benchmarking and error-mitigation strategies to validate algorithmic performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of physicists, hardware engineers, and data scientists to drive the 2026 roadmap.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust.
- Proven experience with quantum computing frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, superposition, entanglement, and quantum gates.
- Familiarity with quantum error correction codes (e.g., surface codes, stabilizer codes) and noise models.
