Responsibilities
- Lead Core Development: Architect and implement high-performance rendering pipelines for mixed-reality applications using Unity and Unreal Engine.
- Hardware Integration: Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize software for next-gen AR glasses and spatial tracking sensors.
- Spatial Mapping: Develop algorithms for real-time 3D reconstruction and environmental understanding.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure 60+ FPS performance across a wide range of devices while managing complex geometry.
- Prototyping: Rapidly prototype concepts for future spatial interfaces and verify feasibility with senior leadership.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence within the XR team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree: in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in game development or software engineering with a focus on 3D graphics.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in C#, C++, or Rust, and deep knowledge of OpenGL/Vulkan/DirectX.
- XR Expertise: Proven experience with Unity (URP/HDRP) or Unreal Engine, specifically for VR/AR development.
- Math & Physics: Strong understanding of linear algebra, kinematics, and physics simulations.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile environments with a focus on rapid iteration and user feedback.
