Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and treatment assistance
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols during procedures
- Respond to patient emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Participate in shift handovers and patient care coordination
- Complete mandatory training and continuing education requirements
Qualifications
- Active California healthcare license (CNA, LVN, or Medical Assistant)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in acute care or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (EPIC experience highly valued)
- Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient care needs
- Pass background check and drug screening
