Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, specimen collection, and basic clinical procedures
- Manage patient intake, electronic health records (EHR), and administrative documentation
- Coordinate weekend patient flow and assist providers with examination room preparation
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families during weekend hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless weekend operations
- Assist with inventory management and supply chain coordination for weekend services
- Participate in weekend staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications
- Current California CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities during weekends
- Advanced proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays consistently (8am-6pm shifts)
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
