Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and diagnostic procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and preliminary patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Prepare and maintain sterile examination rooms and medical equipment
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
