Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, and microbiology with precision
- Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment following SOPs and safety protocols
- Analyze patient samples and document results in our LIS system with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate test reporting
- Participate in quality control initiatives and continuous improvement programs
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Train weekend staff on new procedures and equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field (BS preferred)
- Valid California Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
- Proficiency in operating automated analyzers and LIS systems
- Strong knowledge of CLIA and CAP compliance standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during weekend shifts
- Current BLS/CPR certification
