Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital monitoring, medication assistance, and mobility support
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with emergency response protocols during night and weekend shifts
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
- Support patient education and discharge planning processes
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and care requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience or relevant internship
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with healthcare IT systems
- Valid North Carolina state driver's license
