Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care during weekend and overnight shifts
- Monitor vital signs and document patient progress in EHR systems
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams during handovers
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Respond to emergencies following ACLS/PALS protocols
- Provide patient education and emotional support to families
- Collaborate with charge nurses for care plan adjustments
Qualifications
- Active RN, LPN, CNA, or Medical Assistant license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (night/weekend preferred)
- BLS certification; ACLS/PALS for advanced roles
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR documentation systems
- Ability to work independently during low-coverage periods
- Strong assessment skills for rapid intervention
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication in high-stress situations
