Responsibilities
- Lead Weekend Operations: Oversee all daily logistics activities, ensuring targets are met efficiently during weekend shifts.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates and logistics personnel.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, oversee incoming and outgoing shipments, and manage inventory discrepancies.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in weekend workflows and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed operational reports to upper management at the end of each shift.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly inspected and maintained.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or operations management.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading teams and driving performance metrics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse teams.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer applications.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
