Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient intake, scheduling, and discharge processes during weekend shifts
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate medical records
- Perform vital sign monitoring, ECG readings, and basic lab testing
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment for weekend operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and emergency response teams
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality of patient data
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related healthcare field
- Current Texas CMA/RMA certification with weekend shift experience
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and medical documentation systems
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover Saturday/Sunday shifts (6am-6pm)
- BLS/CPR certification and TB clearance
