Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care activities across multiple departments during weekend shifts
- Manage staffing schedules and ensure optimal department coverage
- Respond to urgent patient requests and escalate critical issues appropriately
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic health records
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and specialists
- Conduct weekend safety compliance checks and incident reporting
- Mentor weekend staff on protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of healthcare coordination or clinical support experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Valid Texas healthcare professional license
