Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including vital sign monitoring, medication assistance, and mobility support
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination during weekend coverage
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies following established protocols
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning processes
- Participate in weekend shift handovers and team briefings
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care or long-term care experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Availability to work all weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) with potential holiday coverage
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient acuity levels
