Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for 2026+ technology adoption across quantum, AR/VR, and synthetic biology sectors
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers and engineers in prototyping breakthrough solutions
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to integrate next-gen tech into their ecosystems
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through visionary proposal development
- Present at global innovation summits including CES and Web Summit
- Patent 3+ disruptive technologies annually
- Mentor junior futurists through Horizon's Future Leaders Program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI Ethics, or Synthetic Biology (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years leading futuristic R&D initiatives with proven commercialization success
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent peer-reviewed platforms
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, neuro-interfaces, or climate tech
- Portfolio of deployed solutions impacting 1M+ users
- Fluency in future forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Active security clearance for government-contract projects
